Hehe Annie and Ben are so much fun! Heck even "I never leave my room" - Doug was entertaining tonight.
Annie and I "raided" the boys apartment tonight, eventhough we managed to give them warning with our "So do you have pans?" and "so when will ya'll be home?" questions over the last few days. We came over with bags of food and made fettucine, garlic bread, salad, green beans and an oreo cake for desert and GET THIS!! SAT DOWN AT AN ACTUAL TABLE, and I mean the full spread of untensils, cups, plates, BOWLS of food nicely prepared (this is a major thing for all of us theatre kids used to eating standing up) my annika and my ben, had a lovely dinner! It was great, then annie and I cleaned their kitchen a bit while ben did dishes. And when our bellies were going to explode and nice viewing of the princess bride finished off the evening. How absolutely lovely right? A perfect end to a week. Can I express how much I adore those two? I don't think so.
Hehe, Doug gave me a new mission for the semester, he made the mistake of telling me that "I'd have to be very determined to get him out of his room and away from his warcraft game" he obviously did not realize that he was talking to molly "short but very DETERMINED" taylor. Annie and Ben had a good laugh at his expense, while I smiled nicely and started plotting.
Only downside was that I was really wishing matt and ben's biz could have been there, then the night would have been perfect.
Next week I think Annie's going to make us fish of some sort (silly annie and ben being good catholics, so if we do this every friday, no meat) and that should be great fun.
And saturday night, my wonderful Katie, who I have not seen *forever*, Ned, who I haven't hung out with *forever* and wasn't at his own apartment tonight to eat our wonderful food and possibly my big bro John are all going to see "Wylde Nept" at the Mill, how great is it all?
------------------------Side Story about the Theatre Ghost---------------------------------
So, we have a ghost in our theatre, her name is Zelda, and normally shes very nice and just chills out and watches the show, and occasionally plays a few pranks.
Well our current show is "The Music Lesson" an absolutely wonderful script about the Bosnian War. But there is one problem, Zelda doesn't like war stories or stories about death. And our play is about death of children during war. So what does Zelda do to express her angst at this?
Tries to set 3 fires in 3 weeks. We open yesterday (Thursday) and had a fire scare when a plug was arching (if we hadn't caught it during pre-show, it could have seriously burst into flames during the show). Last Thursday the entire BMT filled with smoke because a pile of wood shavings were smoldering in the scene shop (got to call the fire department and evacuate for that one). And the Thursday before that there was another electrical problem that caused smoke in the BMT.
I won't even get into the freak illnesses that have been visiting the cast and crew.
How fun is our life?
